Jessica Ross Sheehan was born on March 19 in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up surrounded by the love of her parents, Ken and Cheryl, and her brother, Ben. A graduate of Beachwood High School and Ohio University, Jess was a true light in every room she entered. People were naturally drawn to her warm spirit, her beautiful smile and the way she laughed so easily. She was endlessly kind, patient and generous, always putting others before herself and loving her friends and family with her whole heart.
In 2021, she married the love of her life, Patrick, and together they built a life filled with joy, humor and deep devotion. Their beloved dog, Cleo, was her baby, and Jess was so ready to become a mother; she would have been the most incredible one. Her love, gentleness and steady warmth continue to inspire everyone who knew her.
On Aug. 21, 2024, we lost her in a tragedy that changed our lives forever. Her kindness guides us, and this foundation was created in her honor helps us keep her light shining.
Mission & Vision
The Jessica Ross Sheehan Foundation Endowment Fund exists to provide compassionate grief support for all and educational support for young women, continuing the legacy of a life rooted in love, empathy and purpose.
Grief is a universal experience, yet it’s often misunderstood and rarely spoken about. Our mission is to change that by offering resources and connection to those navigating loss and helping others learn how to show up for their grieving loved ones with understanding and compassion.
Education was a cornerstone of Jessica’s life. Her time at Beachwood and Ohio University helped shape the extraordinary woman she became. After college, she poured her heart into caring for children, nurturing them with the same warmth and wisdom she shared with everyone she loved. She was going to be an incredible mother. In her honor, we are committed to helping young women access the same educational opportunities that meant so much to her and to our family.
Through this endowment fund, we carry forward Jess’s spirit — her kindness, her strength, and her boundless love — in the hope of bringing light to others, just as she did every day of her life.
